Why is still legal in the U.S.A.?

I find it appalling that now, in the 21st century, is still legal in a supposedly "civilized" country like the U.S.! ingi s primitive, outdated, barbaric and inhumane! is a brutal form of violence and it teaches children to be violent! is also a form of ual ault, because the ocks are a ual region! Try typing "ing" into a search engine, and what do you get?! websites! I can't believe so many people deny that is ual abuse. I don't see why it is legal to hit children when it is illegal to hit adults. Can you believe that children have no legal protection when they are beaten by their parents?! The legality of seems to be a way of enslaving children, since kids do not have the right to protection from beating and ual ault. There is also so much scientific evidence that ing is harmful to children, so many studies have been done that proves is dangerous.
