Not ready yet for a relationship, should I stay friends with her?

I think she really needs a friend more than a boyfriend. She is doing you a favor by being honest in telling you she isn't ready for a relationship and she has obviously been hurt by someone or has some deep underlying issues with relationships. Try being her friend and if it is too much for you to handle you will have to tell her that when the time comes.
