My dad - the aggressive control freak!?

I am truely fed up.My father is an aggressive, manipulative, control freak. I have nother year at home to put up with him but i have really had enough and can no longer deal with feeling threatened in my own home. For example today, I lost the back door key so after a small (unjustified) arguement he chased me upstairs - got my handbag - tipped the contenets upside down - threw my bag at me. He gets in big rages where he looks like he is about to throttle me - i'm used to it but its actually quite scary. He took his shoe off and was holding it like he was about to lob it at me - luckily he didn't though. He has done in the past tho. I think he needs anger management - but theres no way i can tell him this. My mum understands but is in the same situation as me - and i can't really talk to her about it cos she just gets upset. She just chooses to ignore him. Unfortunaly i have another year to put up with this before i go to uni. Our relationship is non existant, there's just nothing ther
