Pain reliever for tongue piercing?

Well i got my tongue pierced yesterday.. and it is hurting today. (i just woke up) well i wanted to kno, will a pain reliever help? if so.. i am going to take Ibuprofen, if i take one now (10:00 a.m) when should i take another one?
