What exactly is the purpose of sine?

Hehe... sine is essentially a basic trig function that is EXTREMELY versatile, being used all the way form pre-trig to Calculus bc AP. BUT, to answer your question, it is GREAT for physics and civil engineering, it can be used to find angles with only two sides, another side with an angle and a side, etc. It's very useful, LEARN IT AND KNOW IT AND LOVE IT!!!! Take it from an AP Calculus student, YOU WILL USE THIS A LOTTTT! :]
