My friend said i couldnt come around while his ex was there!?

My friend who sorta likes me told me i couldnt come over this weekend because his ex was staying there. Well he seemed pretty busy while she was there, he didnt even reach out to talk to me or anything. I asked him could i come over and he freaked out! He wouldnt let me anywhere near his doorstep. I dont understand because we are friends and we hang out everyday. I thought she said I couldnt come over but he said she didnt even care if i did or not he just didnt want me over there. I asked him why he ignored me. He likes me a lot but i dont like him that way and he knows this..was he trying to make me jealous with her?
